SALISBURY--Rowan-Salisbury Schools unveiled its Mobile Stem Exploration Lab Saturday.
It was part of a first-time event called STEM Matters at Knox Middle School, and STEM Academy, Horizons Unlimited.
The mobile lab along with more than 30 activities in around campus showcased what students are learning in science, technology, engineering and math.
Teachers say the mobile lab will spend two weeks at each elementary school in the county this year, and eventually move to middle schools.
The bus is designed to help supplement what teachers are already doing in classrooms.
"This is going to show those teachers that we're supporting their educational program, it's not just something random, it's something that's built and designed to help them with their curriculum," said Amy Pruitt, the STEM Mobile Classroom Teacher.
The bus was funded with more than $30,000 dollars in private grants.
