STATESVILLE, N.C. -- The Iredell County Sheriff's Office is trying to figure out who drugged some candy eaten by a West Iredell Middle School student. A parent of the boy took the candy to the sheriff's office last Friday after her son became ill.
Tests revealed that it contains the pain-killers hydrocodone and acetaminophen and a drug known as bath salts.
The sheriff's office thinks the candy came from outside the school and was being shared among students and is trying to identify the source.
