CHARLOTTE -- The Charlotte-Mecklenburg School Board will hear a report Tuesday night about the unexpected costs of new state exams. The exams called "Measures of Student Learning" replace the end-of-grade tests and require districts across the state to pay for printing costs and staffing for scoring.
The costs weren't included in CMS's present budget. This year's exams will be done on paper but will eventually be taken online.
The meeting starts at 6 p.m. in Government Center.
