StillShot
It's a dilemma we just about all face — a precious, funny or wild moment is happening before your eyes. You whip out your phone to capture it, but do you take video or a photo? "StillShot" makes it easy to do both.

First off, capture the event with video and then open that video in the app. It will then analyze what was captured frame by frame, so that the user can swipe through and pick the wanted frame. Simply hit "save" and that frame is turned into a still shot and automatically transferred over to the phone's photos folder.

Those who love to get shots of an exact moment when an action is at its peak are guaranteed to always get the shot without taking a photo.

"StillShot" is right now an app for iPhones for 99 cents.

SpellTower
As if you needed another super-addictive word game to eat up all your spare time, now there is "SpellTower," which is often described as a mix between Boggle and Tetris.
There are several modes. On the simplest level, a player simply makes words based on letters on tiles that are touching, and as those blocks disappear, the player gets points for the word. The bigger the word, the more points it is worth.

Where it gets hard to put down is when two players face off via Bluetooth in "debate" mode. As a player's tiles disappear, they fall into the opponent's screen and vice-versa. A player wins when the opponent's screen fills to the top with tiles, kind of like how Tetris ends.

"SpellTower" is an iOS-only app for 99 cents.
