CHARLOTTE -- The Democratic National Convention Committee may be having trouble raising cash for the convention. Bloomberg reports President Barack Obama's political advisers are asking labor unions to contribute to the September convention, which will be held in Charlotte.
Committee members said they would not take corporate donations to fund the convention. Bloomberg says the host committee is about halfway to its $36 million goal.
The Republican National Committee did not impose a ban on corporate donations. Their goal is to raise $55 million for their convention in Tampa.
