RALEIGH – A suspected impaired driver is expected in court Monday after a hit-and run accident over the weekend.

Police say 48-year-old Linda Banks hit a bicyclist Saturday in Raleigh with her SUV and continued driving. The cyclist, 38-year-old Jason Epstein, was riding his bike down Falls of Neuse Road near Morrowcroft Drive and Durant Road.

Epstein was taken to WakeMed with neck injuries.

Police arrested Banks after they located the car at a home on Sawmill Road. They say witness accounts helped track her down.

Banks is being held at the Wake County Jail. Police also say she was driving while impaired.
