As the Tuesday morning storm blew through Raleigh it caused several accidents.

A tree fell on a car along Glenwood Avenue just inside the Beltline at Edenboro Road.

A power line came down during an accident, forcing police to reroute traffic around the area.

Less than a half mile from that accident, a car lost control and ran off the road. One person was taken to the hospital for treatment of injuries.

The two accidents both happened shortly after 10 a.m.

Traffic was snarled while utility workers restored electricity.
