A classic set up of cold air at the surface and warm moist air aloft will be in place by late tonight and the result will be freezing rain by Sunday morning through the early afternoon.
Now, significant icing will be likely for much of the region, especially on elevated surfaces. Our main concern will be power outages, along with slick spots on bridges and overpasses.
Moisture will wind down by Sunday evening and slightly warmer temperatures will return, so icing will come to an end. However, more unsettled weather remains for Monday.
EVENING: Mostly cloudy. Temp 43.
TONIGHT: Mostly cloudy, freezing rain late. Low near 32.
SUNDAY: Freezing rain early. High 32.
