The travel industry is getting in on the Cyber Monday mania, with exclusive vacation deals available online.
The economy hotel chain Red Roof Inn is leading the charge with 24-hour Cyber Monday deal. Buyers can get 15 percent off their next hotel stay at RedRoof. The chain is also offering a 30-percent discount when buyers book at least 10 days in advance and stay at one of its hotels on Christmas Day.
The Westin Resort in Aruba and the Westin New York at Times Square are offering discounted rates from January 1 to April 30, 2011, when rooms are booked between November 29 and December 3. Rooms start at $299 a night in Aruba, where regular rates are $321, for a minimum four-night stay. Details can be found at Westin Aruba.
Discounted rooms in New York start at $229 a night and include a free upgrade to a deluxe room with free Internet. The deal is good for stays on Thursday through Sunday, and require a two-night minimum stay. To book, visit westinny.com.
Starwood Hotels & Resorts is offering Cyber Monday “One Day Wonder” deals for discounts at hotels such as the Westin Maui or W Fort Lauderdale only on November 29. Consumers who become a "fan" of Starwood Preferred Guest on Facebook at Facebook.com/SPG can book the night before. The deal is valid on stays from January 1 to April 30, 2011. On Cyber Monday only, buyers can get discounts from the Gansevoort Turks + Caicos on Grace Bay Beach in Providenciales, which rarely discounts. The hotel is offering four-night midweek stays, starting at $245 a night with one category upgrade and a $100 resort credit. Travel is valid from now until October 31, 2011, with some blackout dates.
