A fight and alcohol led to the shooting death of a man in Cabarrus County.

Deputies were called to the 9600 block of Seymour Lane just before 6:30 p.m. on Saturday.

At the scene they found a man who'd been shot in the chest.

He later died at the hospital.

Investigators said two men were fighting, when the victim was shot.

No charges have been filed and investigators said alcohol appears to have been involved.
