LELAND, N.C. -- Hundreds of Brunswick County students have a chance to stock up on everything they need for the new school year, and it's all free. This Saturday the First Baptist Church of Leland is holding its back to school supply drive.
They say they have enough supplies for more than 300 families. Senior Pastor Dwight Jenkins says this event is all about giving back to the community.
"This is a way to let them know that we love them, care about them and just to provide something that every family is going to need who has children in school right now," he said.
The drive starts at 9 a.m. at the church. Items are handed out on a first come first serve basis.
