SOUTHPORT, N.C. – The state Department of Transportation will cancel two departures at the Southport-Fort Fisher route in August.
Officials say it's to help production crews in the movie based on a Nicholas Sparks novel, "Safe Haven."
The motor vessel Southport and its crew will be used in the movie, which is currently being filmed in and around the Southport area.
Officials say the 6:15 p.m. and 7:00 p.m. departures will be canceled August 7.
Commuters are asked to take alternate routes.
