CAROLINA BEACH, N.C. -- A public hearing is taking place in Carolina Beach Tuesday night to discuss a possible smoking ban for area beaches. The ban would be the first of its kind in the state. Wrightsville Beach is also considering the measure.

The hearing is at 8:30 p.m. at Town Hall on North Lake Park Boulevard.
