LELAND — A Brunswick County woman was killed in a fire Friday afternoon.

Firefighters were called to a house fire on farm Meadows Drive in Leland. When they arrived, they found Donna Hambrick, 47, inside. Firefighters tried to revive her. Hambrick was taken to the hospital where she later died.

According to the Brunswick County Sheriff's office, the cause of the fire is being investigated. However it does not suspect foul play.
