CHARLOTTE -- The man accused of hitting and killing an east Charlotte father Saturday is due in court Monday afternoon.
Steven Driggers, 20, is charged with DWI, felony death by vehicle and involuntary manslaughter.
Police say Driggers crossed the center line while driving on Reedy Creek Road, and hit a car driven by 55-year-old Reinaldo Rodriguez nearly head on.
Rodriguez died on the way to the hospital, and his wife and teenage daughter were treated for serious injuries.
Neighbors say they were headed to Miami to spend Father's Day with family.
