ONSLOW COUNTY, N.C. — Onslow County is reporting its first rabies case of the year.
Animal Services picked up a sick cat on Phillips Loop Road in Swansboro last week. Test results show the cat had rabies.
Animal Services said it will patrol the area for any stray cats and dogs.
