WILMINGTON -- Some important changes in parking fees take effect this weekend in downtown Wilmington. Starting Sunday, special event and festival parking will increase to $7, maximum daily and lost ticket fees to $8 and parking fines to $20.

Fees will be collected in city-owned parking decks 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
