TABOR CITY, N.C. -- Tabor City Town Manager Al Leonard says he will throw his name in the running for the Democratic nomination for the N.C. House of Representatives. Last week, current state Rep. Dewey Hill says he will not seek an 11th term.
Leonard served as town manager in Tabor City from 1987 to 1990 and later returned to his post in 1991 where he's worked ever since. He offers a wealth of other experience in local government including work as a consultant, as well as posts on a number of commissions and planning boards.
