HAVELOCK — A drawing of the Harrier Monument in Havelock won Elijah Buckout, 10, a national art contest title from U-Draw.

Buckout will take home a prize package which includes $1,000, a gaming system, giftcards and more. He said art is his passion

“I have been drawing since I was two and I've been practicing ever since. I enjoy drawing because I can draw out whatever I want or I think," said Buckout.

Kids ages 6-years-old through 17-years-old to submitted a drawing to the contest which shows what their community means to them.
