BEAUFORT COUNTY, N.C. — Authorities are investigating a chemical fire at a phosphate plant in Beaufort County.
The fire happened around 11:30 p.m. Tuesday at the PCS Plant in Aurora. Officials say it took nearly 150 firefighters from several departments to put out the fire.
Authorities say one firefighter suffered minor injuries during a car accident, while crews were responding to the scene.
