WILMINGTON -- As Wilmington police continue to follow up on leads in the death of Allison Jackson Foy, her family hopes they'll find who's responsible.
Foy was last seen in 2006. Her body was found in 2008 in woods alongside that of Angela Rothen.
Through their search, Foy’s family members say they've encountered a countless number of other families who are also searching for their own loved ones. Foy's sister, Lisa Valentino, announced the formation of the Allison Jackson Foy Memorial Fund. All the money will be donated in her name to the Cue Center for Missing Persons.
Valentino says her family is proud to honor Foy in a way that will help give back to others.
"If what happened to her can help any other family in any other way, then I think my family and I know we feel at least her loss, in some way, is not in vain," she said.
The Cue Center has helped more than 8,500 families at no cost by serving as an advocate and helping in search and rescue efforts.
Police have named a person of interest in Foy and Rothen's double murder case but detectives have said there's not enough information to make any charges or an arrest in the investigation.
