CHAPEL HILL--Officials at UNC said trips Tami Hansbrough took to UNC basketball games did not violate NCAA rules.
The mother of former Tar Heel basketball star Tyler Hansbrough stepped down earlier in September, after questions arose about trips she took in March 2009 while working at the school.
In a report to the NCAA, the school outlined those trips to UNC basketball games and said they were legitimate fundraising efforts.
School officials said they wanted to brief the NCAA in the wake of media reports about the trips.
Top UNC fundraiser Matt Kupec also resigned in connection with the investigation.
