While I am still not a huge fan of Romney, he is beginning to grow on me. But, it really wouldn't matter because I do not want my country to turn into a socialistic society and that direction, based on his actions alone, is where Obama seems to be heading us.

Barack - Be worried! Be very, very worried!
Ed - Barack! Got packing tape?

I marked undecided because I already figured out I'd vote for the not-Obama candidate, unless it was Palin. In 2009 the very most critical issue in the country was jobs, so BO immediately went to work overhauling health care, creating massive FUD for small businesses and HURTing any recovery. And he's not man enough to admit the only reason he got nominated and elected was machine jawboning by Ted Kennedy, for which he agreed to do the Kennedy health care overhaul. Pipeline on hold, drilling on hold, tax code held hostage, ... I really don't think BO could have done more to screw up the economy than he has. Forgot who said this: "Anyone in his 20s who is not a liberal has no heart; anyone over 50 who is not a conservative has no brain."
Forest Grump

Mitt is a spoiled rich kid who never had to do more to provide for his family other than open his mouth. I am voting for president Obama because he knows what its like to pull himself up by his boot straps not just use it as a slogan! President Obama understands that the engine for the American economy is a strong middle class with good paying jobs! not a desire to strip us of our value and ship jobs overseas! Wake up America the Republicans say they are against the redistribution of wealth, not true they work to take from the middle class and give to the Camen Ilands And The Swiss Banks!
decided voter now

YES, The choose is clear.... Romney!
Dixieboy

No. The RNC was a disaster for the GOP, from the racist harassment of CNN reporters to the chaos that fractured the party when Ron Paul delegates stormed out, to Romney's party yacht flying the Cayman Islands flag while parked in Tampa Bay, to Paul Ryan's lies and slander getting exposed by the fact checkers. And Romney? All he did was convince us that he's just another George W. Bush but without the drawl.
Jim

@decided voter now---WAKE UP, stop living in your dream world, Obama will do nothing but destroy our country, if you can't see this then you are blind as well as brainwashed.
David

Put down the kool-aid decided voter. If it wasn't for gov't handouts, affirmitaive action and the media fawning over him, Obama would still be "teaching" classes in college. Why doesn't he release his college records and Holder release Fast & Furious documents??
Fed up

No, the women's vote belongs to Obama.
M.E.

Nope. Neither party is interested in Liberty or reducing the size of gov't (spending). The only person that is a proponent of both is Ron Paul. The RNC changed the rules because they were afraid of him and afraid of a change in the status quo. Doesn't matter who is SELECTED in November, we'll just have more of the same...endless, unjustifiable wars. More spending of our tax dollars. Higher taxes. Inflation. Less jobs...etc. Do not listen to their words...watch their actions. Big difference.
The Truth

"Decided voter now", as far as shipping jobs overseas goes, what Romney did as a business man is just the opposite of what he will do as President (different hat). As a business man, he did what he had to do for his business. You would have too. You're boy Obama has done nothing but sign a really bad health care bill and run for office. He has failed because he has no experience with anything but running for office. Romney is a winner at whatever he does. You don't have to like him to know he will do a much better job than Obama.
Shotgun

Decided Voter, Can you explain why Obama sent 79% of the stimulas money overseas to foreign contries insteadof using it here at home? Also Obama never worked anywhere, he always lived on the back of others. As a representative he voted on any bills and attended very few of the congress sessions. Better look a little closer.
Bib Bob

Mitt didn't say anything concrete, just BS! Anybody can do that! He is all smoke and mirrors people. Neither candidate is that great that he can get us out of this physical mess that was created by congress (both parties) over the last 16 years. So far, all false BS and lies. Mitt will say anything to get elected except there are no details mentioned because they don't have any details to talk about. Wake up people otherwise, blame yourself for this mess by continuing to believe the crap we are fed. At least we know what we got now. The Repubican congress is to blame by their stalling tactics which basically hinge around wanting to give the rich more tax breaks. Tax breaks have never stimulated the economy. Read people and educate yourself... written history proves that reducing taxes does not create jobs or stimuate the economy, it only makes corporation executives richer and big investors richer. The republican congress gives them the tax loop holes. The middle class is the looser!
For the people

Like Forest I had already determined I was going to vote for the "not-Obama" candidate. Even so, I was disappointed when Mitt became the presumptive Republican candidate. But after the past three days I have discovered that the the Mitt Romney, as portrayed by the liberal media throughout the primaries, is not the real Mitt Romney. I have learned that he is a good, honest, family man that truly cares about others regardless of their race, political beliefs or station in life. And, I didn't learn this from the press, Mitt or his campaign. I learned it by listening to some of the people he has personally helped over the past 30 years. Folks that agree with "Decided` Voter Now" (above), obviously did not watch one second of the Convention and have formed their opinions solely on what they have been fed by the media. I will watch the DNC next week. But, Mr. Obama will have a difficult time explaining to me why he should have four more years, given his record for the past four.
Yogi

While I'm not thrilled with Obama there's no way I will vot for a Romney/Ryan ticket. Forest, I have to disagree with you on part of your post. As a business owner I've watched for the past decade insurance premiums increase by absurd percentages while offering fewer benefits - to the point we could no longer pay 100% of employee's medical. This goes back to the early 2000's, long before Obama. For-profit insurance is a sham, and is not in the best interest of all Americans. As for the healthcare plan and it's effects on small business - well that's a yet-to-be-determined issue. To date I've seen zero ill-effects related directly to the plan. Ultimately, from a purely business perspective, if we opted to drop employee coverage and pay the penalty we would actually make more profits because the penalty is equal to roughly 1.5 months worth of current private insurance premiums. So in a way the plan could technically make us more profitable for the moment.
FYM

Actually, there isn't anybody worth voting for. Will probably be the same as last time...whoever is the Independent.
Unwanted

You only have 2 choices this election. You can vote for the continuing turn toward becoming a socialist state and end up like the UK or you can vote to try and get out country back on track and the return of democracy. If you pick the socialist route you need a lot of help and more than likely are getting it from the government at my expense.
Don

Of course, Obama pretty much made their case for them by being the worst president of all time. At this point, I'd have voted for a 3 legged moose over him. Let's say I'm pleasantly surprised to have someone I actually support to vote for.
Average Joe

Mitt could have gotten up there and said he believed in santa claus, the easter bunny and the tooth fairy and it would be better than what we've got in the w.h. now. He didn't have to say a word to secure my vote!
Mother of Four

Romney and the GOP does not care about the middle class or a true democratic form of governance--he is a true oligarch with a party platform right out of the Gilded Age.
KB

There is hardly ANY middle class left!! The middle class being the working class - not rich and not living off the governMINT. Obama has not delivered the jobs, he has spent money like a lunatic and expects us to keep dishing out MORE. This progressive liberalism is tearing our country from the inside out. History has proven socialism does NOT work - huge government does NOT work - over regulation does NOT work. I am embarassed to say that I actually voted democratic last time - shame on me. I am better educated, better informed and frankly scared of any more damage his party will cause. As far as I'm concerned - we can not get Obama out FAST ENOUGH......
DEM-NO-More

No, because Gov. Romney still has not explained how he will accomplish his dreams. Second, his business record does not impress me. He has no military experience and a NATION is not a business (not even similar). Third, the major stock indexes are at three year highs, because investors are investing money. The money is there however, the wealthy refuse to spend, tax cuts as incentives are not solutions to that problem. Next, Gov. Romney will not act to make major changes to the nation like investing in alternative energy or increasing fuel efficency in vehicles. Finally, his voucher ideas do nothing to solve any problems they simply take money from one hand and put it in the other.

You barain washed Obama people crack me up. Still having hope and change to happen. Well, hate to tell you folks, ain't gonna happen. Only change you will see is this country becoming a lap dog like some European countries. Plain and simple, Barry has had 3 1/2 years to do something positive, even when he had the house, senate and the WH, and it hasn't happened. What makes you think he is going to be totally different than the last 3 1/2 years? At this point, Micky Mouse could do a better job blindfolded with his arms cut off! Romney/Ryan are the ticket. If they screw it up worse, which I really doubt, we can run them out in four years. Obama folks, just please go ahead and move to Europe, that's where you need to be, we don't want you, and your narrow minds.

I don't know about other seniors but I pay more for my medigap (Blue cross)insurance that pays 20 % . then I do for my Medicare that pays 80 %...also my wife had her free wellness checkup and was diagnosed with breast cancer, thank goodness it was caught in the early stage, doctor said since the law went into effect he has caught more cancer in the early stages Insurance companies will rip seniors off.. Wish that everyone didn't believe all the ads they see on TV (Obama or Romney) and do a little fact checking before they vote
Does anyone research before they vote

Anyone is better than Obama. Romney had my vote from the start. Obama needs to go period.
FebUp

The so-called mainstream media are focusing on the speech by Eastwood because they're intellectually lazy like most of the Dems at the DNC. Romney made his case for being president of the U. S., Ryan is a better VP than Biden ever could be, Rubio made his case as a possible presidential candidate & Obama will lose in November.
Wayne L.

This is an extremely important election, and the differences between the parties has never been clearer. Unless as a nation we want a big government to take care of us from cradle to grave, Americans should choose Romney and Ryan to put us back on track to prosperity.
Robert

I truly believe this DNC is Obama's going away party..Its about hope..Hope the heck I'm right...
party pooper

Yes he did but, if you listen to MSNBC you would think he miss his mark on everything he said.
concern citizen

Dear decided voter now: It is spelled Cayman Islands. You should consider choosing Romney. Aside from fixing Obama's BROKEN economy, he will also help reform and improve education.
Bill- AntiObama

Absolutely. As for the opposition, I can remember America's liberal press crucifying Bush for two dollar a gallon gasoline. Today we have four dollar a gallon gasoline, along with unemployment of over 8% and that same liberal press is somehow quiet. I don't know if everything Romney suggests will work but I do know what Obama has done did not. Big chunks of the "stimulus" money went to countries overseas providing jobs for their people instead of jobs for Americans.
Citizen

Hey Joe - In response to your post, Romney and Ryan have both explained, you haven't listened. You don't like Romney's business experience but Obama has none. Romney has no military experience but neither does Obama. The Dow Jones Average dropped to 6,500 during Obama's first year causing investors to lose $$$. It has taken 3 years to come back to 13000. And Joe, Obama funneled over $16 billion of tax payer's money to alternative-fuel and green-power projects owned by his cronies and campaign contributors; a scandal now under investigation by the House Oversight and Government Reform Committee. Even Obama's financial advisors recommended against these expenditures. Finally, under Romney/Ryan's plan there would be no change in Social Security for anyone over 55. Those under 55 would have the option of either the current system or vouchers. Under Obama's plan Social Security will go broke in 2024. Joe it looks like you are backing the wrong man.

I lived in Massachusettes when Mitt was governor. Although I didn't agree with all of his positions, he did an excellent job, especially having to deal with a far left legislature throughout his tenure. Also, his Morman faith was never an issue. What scares me most about Obama is that even in the face of huge deficits and the US' credit rating taking a hit, the Democrats haven't even considered spending less. I don't mind helping people, but creating a whole under class of institutionalized government dependents who contribute nothing and basically sell thier votes to Democrats to get more of a cut of other people's money - that's stealing. And blaming Bush is getting weaker every time the Democrats say it. Leaders doesn't blame others, especially four years later. Obama's a loser and a Marxist. Mitt's got my vote all the way.
Sharri

Yes for Romney because I DID BUILD MY BUSINESS!!!!
DS

If by some chance Obama is re-elected, look at the mess he will inherit, who will he blame it on? He said himself that if he didn't straighten things out it would be a 1 term deal. One term is too much, he is the only man on earth who could make Jimmy Carter look good.
David

Seems the anti Romney here watched the convention on the stations that failed to show the wonderful speeches by those African American and Latino speakers...too biased. @ME what woman who loves her children and grandchildren votes for someone like Obama who has put them 16 trillion in debt and growing and who has done nothing but kill job creation for the middle class and who takes 716 billion from Medicare for elderly to saddle us with Obamacare for non citizens. Sad who didn't listen to how Romney creates jobs.
Von

"I have learned that he is a good, honest, family man that truly cares about others regardless of their race, political beliefs or station in life" Oh jeez. If this were true, we should KNOW it already! No one should have to *convince* you that someone is a nice person if they really are! Ryan lied through his entire speech, but that's ok? For those calling Pres. Obama a socialist, a real socialist would laugh at this notion. I pay taxes & expect a return on my investment! I also believe in helping those who are less fortunate. If charity fixed everything that would be great, but it doesn't. Obviously Shotgun, Mitt referred to the country as a "company" the other day. He thinks "corporations are people". And you still think he wouldn't run this country like a company? You guys are voting against your own best interests if you are not in the top 1% of income "earners". Your taxes are going to go up & your old folks are going to pay up to $6500 more a year b/c of medicare vouc
Oi

Blind leading the Blind. Lies and more Lies from BOTH parties.Manly the Republican party.

It just concerns me when I hear the lady who purchased a home in 2002 and now it's 2012 and she has to have an interpreter to translate what she is saying about the bank taking her home. When my daughter moved to Japan to work she had to learn Japanese.
