LUMBERTON, N.C. – The group “Community United Effort” or CUE was in the Sandhills region Friday to bring awareness to several missing persons cases.

Friday's event kicked off the organization's annual “On the Road to Remember” tour. CUE volunteers met with family members and local law enforcement in an effort to continue the search for those who are missing.

"It means a lot to the families to come here to bring their loved one to give them attention to bring them back in the forefront. It also means a lot to law enforcement because it gives them an avenue to reach back out to the community remind people that someone's missing," said CUE Center For Missing Persons Founder Monica Caison.

The group made a stop in Lumberton and Raeford Friday. They will visit seven states over the next week as part of their tour.
