NC and SC high school football teams to battle in first ever Novant Health Football Classic

NC and SC high school football teams to battle in first ever Novant Health Football Classic

GREENSBORO -- The official start to the high school football season is still a little more than a week away but you can catch a sneak peak at what three Triad teams have to offer at the Novant Health Football Classic.

Northern Guilford, Reidsville and Ragsdale high schools will take on three South Carolina teams during this preseason triple header. This is the first year for the Novant Health Football Classic.

But it's not just about who's the better team.

All of the players will learn important information about concussions and dehydration from area doctors, giving them what could amount to life saving information before they ever hit the field.

If you want to check it out, the games start at 6:35 p.m. with Ragsdale taking on Clover High School. Following that game, Reidsville High School will take on Marlboro County High School. Finally at 9 p.m., two-time defending AAA state champs Northern Guilford will take on South Carolina state champs Chesterfield High School.

Tickets are $6 at the door.
