WINSTON-SALEM — Winston-Salem police have charged the mother of two children taken to the hospital after a house fire last week.

Police say Ebony Mack was not at home when firefighters found the children in the home last Thursday night. Authorities charged Mack with two counts of felony child abuse. Her children are still in critical condition at Wake Forest Baptist Medical Center.

Police are still investigating the cause of the fire.
