CHARLOTTE--Police have found a missing Charlotte teen. Detectives said they spoke with 19-year-old Candice Griffin on Saturday and they said she is safe.

The girl had been missing since Wednesday.

Police received information that she was the victim of a serious assault.

Police continue to investigate that assault and her disappearance.
