CASTLE HAYNE — Senator Richard Burr paid a visit to some coastal areas Friday.

The visits were part of an effort to highlight manufacturing facilities. In New Hanover County, Burr spoke at GE Nuclear and said the Tarheel state is top notch when it comes to generating clean energy.

"That innovation and that manufacturing is done here in Wilmington, NC by some of the most talented workers that can be found. This is a true magnet for talent and we wanna do everything we can to grow that here in North Carolina," said Sen. Burr.

In Sampson County, Sen. Burr visited Hog Slat Incorporated.
