CLEMMONS, N.C.--Founders of a future dog park in Forsyth County are one step closer to making it a reality.

They've raised nearly all of the $175,000 needed to build it in Tanglewood Park in Clemmons and are hoping to open it in the fall.

They're counting on animal lovers to step up and help them raise the last $15,000 needed to create a fun place for furry friends.

"Dogs need a place to run and socialize,” explained one of the park's founders, Chuck Houska. “A socialized dog is a happier dog. It also gives people a place to socialize."

For more information on the dog park, including how you can make a tax-deductible donation, visit their website at Clemmons Dog Park.
