WINSTON-SALEM -- Forsyth County is taking steps to curb pet overpopulation. The county is recognizing spay day by giving out vouchers for spaying or neutering to low-income pet guardians.

On Saturday, Feb. 25, people can go to one of eight locations throughout the county to get their vouchers. You need to bring proof of income, photo ID showing you live in Forsyth County, proof of current rabies vaccination and $10 cash. That'll get you a voucher for the surgery at Central Spay, Neuter and Wellness Clinic in Kernersville.
