CHARLOTTE – Time Warner Cable held its annual holiday party for Big Brothers Big Sisters of Greater Charlotte on Tuesday.

Big Brothers Big Sisters says children enrolled in the program avoid risky behaviors and improve in academics.

Time Warner Cable employees acted as Santa's helpers and distributed toys to more than 300 children.

“Knowing that as a company we can pull together, rally the troops, and really
do something very special for kids that have a need in our community, I think has meant the world to us,” said Mary Fout, senior director of regional marketing for Time Warner Cable.

This is the second year for the party, which is part of Time Warner Cable's Connect a Million Minds initiative.

Time Warner Cable is the parent company of News 14 Carolina.
