CHARLOTTE – Mayor Anthony Foxx says he is ready to talk about renovations to Bank of America Stadium with Panthers owner Jerry Richardson.

Foxx sent a letter earlier this week inviting Richardson to discuss with the city council his planing process to update the stadium.

He went on to say, "I cannot unilaterally commit resources but do feel we have an interest in the long-term presence and success of the Carolina Panthers franchise.”

The Panthers had no comment.
