GASTONIA – The body of a Gastonia fisherman has been recovered from Robinwood Lake in Gaston County.

Emergency officials received a call at around 2:30 a.m. Thursday morning from the father of 36-year-old Robert Dula.

He said his son had gone fishing Wednesday but never returned home.

When crews arrived at the lake, they found Dula's boat on shore.
Shortly after daybreak, they found his body in the water near the boat.

Authorities ruled the incident an accidental drowning.
