CHARLOTTE – A new day care is giving parents one less thing to worry about as their kids head back to school this year.
The Rainbow Station at Charlotte offers an on-site infirmary to care for mildly and chronically sick children with common illnesses like the cold or chicken pox. The one-of-a-kind facility is staffed by a pediatric nurse.
Once the children are diagnosed, they’re sent to one of four rooms based on their symptoms. Each is equipped with a reverse ventilation system that keeps germs from spreading.
The Get Well Place is open from 7:30 a.m. to 5:30 p.m., Monday through Friday. All mildly ill children from birth up to age 12 can go there regardless of whether they’re enrolled at Rainbow Station.
