A close race for North Carolina's seventh district congressional seat could be headed to a recount. On election night Democratic incumbent Mike McIntyre was ahead of Republican challenger David Rouzer by 507 votes. Yet there are over 8,000 provisional ballots that need to be examined and absentee ballots have until Friday to be mailed in.
